I want to build a new home on some land!?

Update:

am new to this process of getting a mortgage and or construction loans. Im a veteran and i know that there are some agencies that offer construction loans. My question is if I have an existing loan on a piece of land could I roll the balance over to a construction loan once I start to build. I was planning on hiring a company to build the house. Any help would be great. Im also a first time buyer, is there any grants available for land purchase for a down payment. Thanks!!

    If you have a bank the bank will have a loan department and you need to make an appointment with them to sit down and ask questions and learn. It is hard for me to believe that you are a ver an you are so clueless but c'est la guerre I guess.
