What is your opinion on the question Men: would you marry a woman who refuses to take your last name?

In Italy, where I married it's common for the wife to keep her last name............for life. But any kids, take the name of the father. She will be known on all the mail, by HER last name, until Death.

When you really think about it...........it's silly to take my name...........since she's not me.....and wasn't part of my family.

My opinion on the question is that it is a dumb question. Now, you are borderline violation here, because Y!A does not consider "reposting" of a question to BE a valid question. However, you asked what our opinion ABOUT the question was, even though most are actually answering the "repost" instead.

My last name sucks. 6 letters, 5 of which are consonants, and no one can pronounce it.I wouldn't force my bride to take my last name. If she has a better last name than me, I'll take hers.

My opinion is that that is a chat request and not a real question and therefore a violation or the rules of this site.

I generally would want her too and would feel a bit hurt if she didn't. My dad's wife didn't take our last name and it always gives me a sort of bothered feeling, don't know why.
