How do you know if you have depression.?
At random times every now and then I just suddenly feel sad out of no where and it comes after the smallest things.
I just feel down
Lay down in bed and stare in the wall.
I feel lost in life and alone and that I will never meet anyone and if I was then I would just screw it up somehow,
I would not say I hate myself but I m not happy with myself either.
I m certainly not sucidel I would never do it as empty as my life feels I just would not be able to do anything.
Other times I am perfectly happy the way I am in fact i often feel sad when it comes to being alone but other times being alone is the best a new fb friend I added kept messaging me today and honestly I was annoyed I just wanted to watch TV in peace.
In my course in the room of 10 other people I think I am the most liked.
I am definitely most likely to succeed in my future steps and I been told I m funny and will be missed by others when I finish this Friday.
So sometimes I feel great about my self other times I just feel down and hopeless and honestly believe that I am destined to be alone forever and end up either never being able to find a job or end up in a job I hate.
When Robbin Williams died I was shocked because he was always so funny but now that I think about it I am always making jokes.
Even though I don t usually feel down at those times.
But when I do feel down I do tend to smile and laugh so no one can tell.

Well everyone gets depressed once in a while. It's normal if it doesn't last to long, or isn't too frequent. If you are concerned, you could try reading a book or two on what to do with your thoughts when you are in one of those moods. It might help keep you from getting sucked in too deep. ACT, Mindfulness, or CBT are good styles to learn more about. I wouldn't wait until you are in one of those depressed states to read a book, though. Get the skill so when it comes, you can manage it right off the bat and it will be easier.

You are definitely showing signs of depression. I've went through it and I lost interest with a lot of things in my life. There's nothing wrong with seeking help and seeing a doctor. You may need to go on an antidepressant.

This sounds ridiculous, but I took tons of tests online to answer the same question about myself. Every one of my results said for me to seek professional help.. but I really don't want to go down that road. I opened up to my boyfriend last night about my suicidal thoughts and depression, and no one else. So basically, my answer is to take a bunch of online tests. Some ask really good questions and help you realize some things about you that you never realized.

when you depressed then go for a meditation ( relaxation ) ... ... ... it can help you to dilate your nervous system and be positive always . everything done for your good ... ... if you are severe then definately consult for a psychiatrist for psychotherapy which can be very very effective ... ... thank-you
