I'm going to take computer science this October for my first year of college, but my friend recommends I just switch to neuroscience?
I'm gonna' major in computer gaming science, but my friend is telling me that without a good amount of experience I'm going to have trouble and I should just go with my second plan of neuroscience and psychology. I have some programming experience but not a lot. My dream careers have to do with programming and computer science so I really want to do this.

So do the programming. It is more about results than education anyway. As you progress in school, save your projects and work on the side with your own programs. That way when the job search starts you will have a body of work to show people that reflects your abilities and styles. And of course take any internships that come along. You should have no trouble starting a career.

What does experience have to do with it? You can get hired easily with a computer science degree straight out of college. I have a relative who did and they make over 100k a year not including benefits so.

If this is your dream, why would you switch to Neuroscience because your friend recommends it? One should always follow ones dream.

One of my psychology professors said computer science is remarkably similar to cognitive psychology, but based on what you've told us, I would recommend computer science.
