warranties on Ebay are pointless?

Update:

Unistockuk on Ebay had my faulty return now refuse to answer my emails.

they sell with 12 warranty but will NOT honor it.

Update 2:

Ebay will not do anything to force sellers to honor warranties. buyers are left with only trading standards option or small claims court.
