Do you agree that changing words or actions to be "politically correct' is stupid?

Political correctness is the scientific term for "good citizenship". The development of the mind won't be complete untill the language is perfected. In other words, I disagree.

If approached with a full understanding of all factors involved/negativity possibly invoked; I would consider a politically correct action astute, not stupid.

There are always those situations where it may sound stupid because it is misdirected and entirely uncalled for.

For example: An Accepted Practice of the Netherlands; instead of, "Dutch Treat."

I think it's necessary. However, I also believe there should be a limit. People shouldn't be afraid to criticize a person or persons' actions just because he is afraid of being labelled as politically incorrect. Unfortunately, this does happen where people become afraid of not being PC and so they don't speak up when they should.

I think that using the phrase "politically correct" is stupid. The only people who use it are conservative racists who are trying to justify their use of insulting and hateful language. So go fcuk yourself.
