All college students fill out FASFA regardless of dependent or independent status. It just determines if you are eligible for Pell grant and some other federal loans. Colleges use the info to see if you qualify for grants or loans through teh college and state.You are an independent if married. Since you are married, you have to include his income on your FASFA by law. If his income is too high, then it is unlikely you will qualify for grants or other aid.

You will definitely qualify for the Direct loan that FAFSA offers, but no guarantee of any grant money with a high income. However, fill it out regardless. You never know what you might be eligible for.
