Now we would like to tell you something about our own opinion. We chose this song because we like the rythm and the topics in Sweet Home Alabama. It also remaind us about the holidays in the USA. The song had been played many times in the raido.
We also chose Sweet Home Alabama because the song had been played in the movie Forrest Gump. This song tells a important story without to put a point of view. We learnt from this song to analyse things and to make up an own mind.

In the end, the song demonstrates that the people in the 70s were still uncertain about how to deal with the injustice of racial discrimination.  Because at this time it was a delicate topic, it is really difficult to show if the band was in favor or not of the discrimination in place.
