How would Crooks feel after Lennie killed Curley's wife?

Crooks was finally starting to feel a little like he belonged, especially with Lennie and George, after all, they didn't appear to mind him joining them on their dream and their farm, which at the time would have been incredible for a dark skinned man. These two valued him, and even if the dream didn't happen, Crooks felt as though he could continue talking to the only two real friends he had ever had. However, once he discovers that Lennie has killed Curley's wife, he realises that even if Lennie isn't caught by the lynch mob and strung up, George and Lennie will leave the farm for good, and leave Crooks behind. Crooks tries to help by giving George the chance to delay suspicion and get to Lennie in the hopes that maybe he'll come back to help Crooks. Part of him believes that because of his handicap, and his race, it is unlikely that Crooks will be allowed to go on the run. His hopes die and idea of his friends falls. Cant remember much of the book or quotes so this is all ive got xD hope this helps :)
