  • Guys of the Internet please help!!?

Its my boyfriend's birthday in a couple of months, and we're also going to go to university (not the same one, we've always been long distance though, so it's nothing new, actually, we're going to be 2hrs closer :3) I've already got a couple of things sorted out for him, but they're handmade and personalised, but I want to buy him something else too. Any suggestions? I'd like to get him something that will be useful at university, but also reflects his life in general. He's a gamer, who is quite geeky and loves chemistry (that's what he's going to study at university).

Any help would be great!! Thank you!! :)

  • Question about Fan Mail stamps?

I'd like to send 1 or 2 photos to be signed and returned with a self addressed and stamped envelope (UK - UK), but I'm not sure how many stamps to put on either envelope? I think it would be the same amount of stamps for each but I'm not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

  • Sex is painful?

I have been dating my boyfriend for a little over a year, and we've just decided to take the next step in the relationship. Last time we tried it in the "cowgirl" position, as he thought I'd have more control over the speed etc. He penetrated, and it hurt a lot (he's above average length) and it kept hurting. Eventually managed to get all the way in, but it was really painful. Every time I tried to move it hurt and after a little try he lifted me off because he didn't want to do it if it hurt me, but it hurt when he pulled out too (by hurt, I mean tears, and pain like someone just dropped the entire game of thrones book set on your toe) We tried again later, but the same thing happened, but I couldn't even take him all the way in. He doesn't seem to mind, because he says he doesn't need it as long as I'm happy. We tried a couple more times, and each time I got really wet, but then as soon as he takes his jeans off I remember the pain and panic so I dry up and don't feel in the mood anymore. He says it's fine and that we'll just try again another time, when I'm more confident about it, but I don't want to let him down again the next time.

I bought some lubricant to try to help next time, but I wondered if anyone had any advice?

We're both virgins by the way, and I'm on the pill, could the pill have something to do with it? :')

  • Confusing period issue?

I have been on the pill for about 6 months and have never had any problems before: start taking the pill on a Monday (6pm every night), finish on a Sunday, period arrives Wednesday afternoon and is gone by Saturday night, and that has been the routine every month since I started taking them without any variation.

However this month I had an ear infection, and had to take antibiotics all last week as well as the pill. I am mildly allergic to antibiotics (severely to penicillin) so I was sick for the first day of the tablet. My Dr told me the antibiotics would affect the way the pill works, but it should still keep my period away until I stop taking the pill. I stopped taking the antibiotics on Wednesday last, and the pill stopped on Sunday night.

On Tuesday night the cramps started, same as usual (they get gradually less until Wednesday afternoon and then they are replaced by the period starting), and the same thing as normal happened. Wednesday afternoon came around and no period. Its now Thursday afternoon and still nothing, but I still have the symptoms (feeling bloated, stomach feels tight, and sleepy), but nothing else.

I am slightly anaemic, which is why I feel sleepy during my period, and I have skipped periods before I started taking the pill.

Is it possible for me to skip a period, despite being on the pill? Or could it be to do with the antibiotics?

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

  • A2 Physics question!?

A mass of oxygen occupies a volume of 200cm3 at a temperature 27C and a pressure of 1.00x10^5 Pa.

    a) convert the volume to m3. Calculate the no of moles, the no of molecules and the mass of gas present if the molar mass of oxygen is 32g.

    Calculate the volume when (independently)

    b) pressure is doubled at constant temperature

    c) absolute temperature is doubled at constant pressure

    d) pressure is 1.50x10^5 Pa and temperature is 127C

These are the values I calculated for the first part, but I don't think they are right:

    Volume of oxygen =0.0002m3

    molar mass of O2 = 32g

    No of moles= 0.0002/32 = 6.25x10-6

    No of molecules= 6.25x10-6x6.023x10-23 = 3.76x10-28

Any help and explanation would be greatly appreciated :)

  • A level physics help please? :)?

    a) what is the angular velocity of the earth in its orbit around the sun?

    b) If the distance from the earth to the sun is 1.5x10^8km, what is the earth's tangential speed?

c)Calculate the centripetal acceleration of and force acting on the earth if the mass of the earth=6.0x10^24kg

d)What is the work done by the above force in one orbit?

I worked them out but I got some answers that REALLY didn't look right :O Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you! :)

  • Photoshop trouble!?

I altered a photo of my boyfriend and I because I was pulling a face. In the other picture my boyfriend was pulling a funny face. I decided to put my smiling face on the silly one, but the lighting was slightly different, so my face is lighter in the smiling face. I'm not sure how to colour match the replacement face! :O

The programme Im using is photoshop CS (I know, pretty old, but it has most of the same buttons as the CS series). Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

  • Help with chemistry? :)?

    A compound of Na, S and O with molar mass 174 is 26.4% Na and 36.8% O (therefore 36.8% S)

An impure 5.00g sample of the compound decomposed completely to give 593cm3 of SO2 at rtp.

Calculate the formula of the compound and the percentage purity of the sample by mass, showing all steps in your working.

  • What's a cute thing I could include in a parcel for my boyfriend?

I am in a long distance relationship, and the last time my boyfriend visited me he accidentally left his headphones. We're both really forgetful since the time before when I went to see him I left my jacket. I'm going to send his headphones back to him, but I wonder if there's anything sweet I can put in the envelope, especially since we had a little argument last night (the letter will probably arrive after we've made up, hopefully). Any ideas? :)

  • Need help with A2 courses?

For my AS level I took Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, and these subjects were fine all through the year until a few months before exams when I became a victim of over stress. I panicked and my grades fell dramatically for my exam results and this has caused me great upset. I was predicted B grades in all subjects but instead I received a D in biology, E's in physics and chemistry, and a U in maths. I was going to drop maths anyway so this didn't pose too much of a problem for me. The grades I received are all pass grades and I should have been able to continue to the next year, but for some reason physics has decided that they do not except A2 level students with grades below a D, no matter previous test scores. Again I didn't mind too much because Physics had lost its allure to me, especially as the medical physics course has been cancelled for this year. This meant I changed my desired options to Biology, Chemistry, Extended project (something I have already done at GCSE) and supported study. However I have been told that I need 3 A2 levels and can take either the EPQ AS or the supported study. My only options now are to either take Bio, Chem (at A2) and take an AS subject with supported study and take the last A2 level next year, OR I take Bio+Chem at A2 and then try to take on both an AS+A2 for the same subject in the one year, and take off the supported study. Either way something I don't want will happen so I have no idea what to do. Advice please!! :) Thanks
