What is it like in the police department?
Gosh darn it i forgot to add details again! Anyways let me explain. I'm writing a story about a girl who is in the police department. She's a detective (In the NYPD, if that helps.) So I want to know what it's like in the police department. I know a little of what happens on the scene of the crimes so all i want to know is what happens in the station itself. What goes on between the officers? What goes on between the detectives?

On both coasts of the U.S., you've got bad apples in the police force. We need to root out the bad apples by taking a stand against them and their enablers. When people get assaulted and the police don't do anything about it, you're dealing with some bad apples right there. Fortunately, there are some good apples in the bunch.

We come in, get our gear change, use the bathroom, vending machines and do our paperwork, the rest of the time we are on our beats. Detectives sit at their desks talk on the phone do mounds of paperwork and once in a while conduct interviews.
