Why did Liverpool sign so many players?

I have seen the team BR played in 2013 and have found virtually no fault in the attacking sight. Beside Suarez, Sturridge has been lethal, Coutinho and Sterling has a break through season, Stevie G amazing leadership and Henderson unlimited energy.With Ibe possibly breaking into the first team, it leaves with 4 defenders, which I believe it will be a good fit: Flanagan, Sakho / Lovren, Skrtel, Enrique. So why does BR need players like Lallana, Lambert and Markovic? Will they outperform the combination shown in 2013.2014 squad? Thanks

    We are in the cL this season requiring a deeper bench. on top of that we have to adjust ofensively or defensively for the lac of goals that Suarez provided.

    Last season we just scored more then we suffered so suarez allowed for a low pressure defense, lots of counter attack, this season will be a bit more intelegent in the backfield

    Liverpool wasted money on Balotelli and undermined everything positive the club was doing.

    Its a real shame the future of this season was bright now they will fight to play in Europa for next season.

    you need to keep spending to stay competetive, last time man city bought no players after winning the league they lost out by 11 points, same will happen again next year
