Did anyone find it hard to get a job while in university?

I live in the UK and have been trying to get a part time job or just something to do ive applied everywhere and had no replies.

    I don't know how difficult it is to find a job in the UK. I know that in France, it's not easy finding a job.

    In the US, people work all the time while in university. Jobs are easy to find while in high school or university.
