Average wage for uneducated jobs?

Im gonna move to Toronto for 10 months and dont have any degree beside my highschool diploma. To get a rough overview over my income and expenses I need to know how much I can expect being a water, cashier and the like? Does anyone have any experiences?

You can use this salary research site to find out how much is the usual pay for various jobs in Canada: http://bitly.com/NyKede.

Minimum wage is $11, so that, perhaps a bit more depending on the job. Housing is expensive in the city - cheaper as you get out into the inner suburbs, but then you'll spend more in transit perhaps (which can be very slow depending where you are and where you need to go.) Renting a room in a shared place is always cheaper.

if you can get a job at all it will likely be minimum wage, if Canada has such a thing

as for expenses, you need to do some research first about what a place will cost to rent, you might be able to find a room rather than a whole apt which will definitely be less

you might check the local papers there for food prices to see how they compare to where you are
