What is the difference, if any, between "Cash Public Assistance" and SNAP, TANF, etc?
The exact nature of this question regards "other forms of cash public assistance such as SSI."
I am trying to help someone fill out government papers and she was told, by the government, that the "cash public assistance" only meant SSI. So, if I'm misreading this, let me know.

Cash public assistance is generally SSI, but can include TANF (state welfare), General Assistance (also state welfare), and a few other cash payment welfare - like foster care.
Most welfare is vendor payments - not cash in hand.- and would not be cash public assistance.
SSI, TANF, GA, are all "cash public assistance", no doubt about that.
