5 AntwortenHistoryvor 7 JahrenIs publicizing a crime or event...?
The comedian Robin Williams committed suicide, by hanging, and the press is having a field day with it. They are not calling it a suicide but a "death."
Do you feel that this publicity and reckless attitude toward self harm increases the likelihood that others, especially those who admired him, would follow suit or that it legitimizes suicide by not condemning it?
2 AntwortenCurrent Eventsvor 7 JahrenAbandoned vehicle question that Y!A felt it should delete.?
The original owner of a vehicle sells it to another person. This person does not register it in his/her name, but leaves it in the owner’s original name, transports the vehicle across the state of Virginia, and then “abandons” it in a storage facility. This storage facility then lists it as abandoned. The VDMV contacts the original owner and notifies him/her of the location of the vehicle.
When the original owner contacts the jerk about the vehicle, He refuses to discuss it without the title. The location is 5.5 hours away from the original owner and the individual is too stupid to understand this and still demands to see the title.
The person holding the vehicle can sell or scrap the vehicle, probably making a nice profit off of it by listing it as abandoned, assuming the site is legitimate to being with. The location the person claims is the storage facility is, by photos, a vacant lot. Since this person refuses to confirm the VIN of the vehicle, who put it there, or any other information, including value, liens, condition, and so on, there is no way to verify it is not a scam. (Note, after this was deleted by Yahoo, I’m starting to think that the storage provider IS a scam and will notify the owner/police of this).
Does the storage facility have the right to refuse to talk about a vehicle to the “legal” owner? Is the “legal” owner responsible for the vehicle since s/he didn’t put it in storage? Finally, what would you do in this situation?

5 AntwortenYahoo Answersvor 7 JahrenVehicle Storage Question?
An individual purchases a car in one county of Virginia. He then moves said vehicle across the state and puts it in storage facility. The new owner does NOT register the car in his name but leaves it in the previous owner’s name. A number of years pass. The previous owner then receives notice that the vehicles is abandoned and that s/he must claim it within 15 days.
The individual who is storing the vehicle refuses to speak with anyone without the title. The title, as per law, as given to the individual who purchased the vehicle, and is in default, and did not register it. Therefore, the condition of the vehicle is unknown, its worth is unknown, the amount owed, if any, is unknown. There is no certainty that the vehicle is the correct vehicle, by VIN.
The vehicle is stored 5.5 hours away from the original owner. It would be impossible for the original owner to go there, with the paperwork, on such notice. This means that the storing individual can scrap or auction it off, without the owner’s consent.
Is the owner responsible for the vehicle since s/he did not store it in the first place? Is it legal for the storing individual to refuse to speak about the vehicle to the “legal” owner? What are the “legal” owners’ rights in this case?
Finally, what would you do in this situation?
1 AntwortLaw & Ethicsvor 7 JahrenDoes Virginia still prohibit alcohol sale to Homosexuals?
A while back, I was told that Virginia prohibited alcohol sales to homosexuals. Not sure how they enforced it, but... This was the reason, I'm told, that gay bars are "member's only." The way they could by-pass the law.
Also, you cannot have alcohol sales where there is any nudity, such as in strip clubs/bars.
Your thoughts, input, ideas?
4 AntwortenOther - Politics & Governmentvor 7 JahrenBiblical question...?
Many christians site the Bible, Old Testament, as the reason to hate homosexuality.
Yet, many christians claim that tattoos, banned in the OT, is OK because it doesn't apply to christains, just Jews.
If new Christianity doesn't include the OT, why hate gays? If it does, then why not forbid tattoos?
Or, does Christianity allow you to pick and choose what you want to follow and still be faithful? I need a little help understanding how this game is played.
1 AntwortReligion & Spiritualityvor 7 Jahrenwhat happens if you don't have a phone?
A friend went to sign up on Yahoo and they demanded her telephone number. Actually, her cell phone. But, she's deaf and doesn't have one because she can't hear it and doesn't want to be bothered by one. After all, to her, it's just another bill, harassing callers, and all that that she doesn't want to bother with.
But, without one, Yahoo won't let her sign up, and she says other sites are like this too. What's going on? NSA rules or just nosy sites that want to sell your number to make money for a "free" site? I don't recall having to use my number when I signed up.

Has anyone noticed the amazing resemblance of the actor playing Satan, in the TV Mini-series "The Bible," to Barack Obama? His appearance is in Episode 6: Hope.

Actually, I think he looks better in the show than in real life. At least here you know the lies he's spreading won't happen.

Say it is just between four or five individuals, roughly about $1000 or so, and not really anything major.
It seems that no one in the legal section, such as law enforcement or laws, on Yahoo! Answers knows or is willing to comment.
