Can I use this to clean my newly pierced cartilage?

Question

I got my cartilage pierced today

Unforunately I have no clue how to clean it. There is so much conflicting evidence.

They didn't sell a normal saline solution in boots, and I don't have any sea salt

Can I use the saline solution meant for contact lenses?
It's by wilko and these are the ingredients:

'an isotonic buffered aqueous saline solution containing Sodium chloride 0.75%'

I want to clean it before I go to bed tonight but I don't know what to do!

I got my cartilage pierced not so long ago as well :) I use an anti-bacterial solution such as bactine but you could also just use warm water and a cloth or a q-tip. When you can, invest in an anti-bacterial solution because they don't dry out your piercings like alcohol or peroxide!

Contact lens solution contains chemical additives that are not healthy for your piercing. Bactine is far too harsh, antibacterial blocks out oxygen from your piercing and q-tips can leave cotton fibers on your piercing. Ignore all of that advice.

Sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water. Non-iodized sea salt can be found at any grocery store by the regular salt. Either soak in a clean bowl or mug or use a folded up thick piece of paper towel to soak it. No cotton balls, q-tips, or washcloths.
