As a schizophrenic i can tell you that it's just demons, hallucinations and voices have always been involved with spiritual happenings. I can even explain my "delusions" and show how they are connected to them.

Delusions are mostly beliefs or thoughts about them self or the world that are not true, like believing that you are a chosen angel sent from god to save the world.

Hallucinations involve one or more of the five senses, like believing you are hearing voices, or that invisible bugs are crawling on your skin.

It can be anywhere from someone simply speaking to what seem invisible beings in a benign way to a person believing they see or hear beings may they be evil or simply the frivolousNess of their imagination.
