Will strength help with handstands and other skills?

I am wondering if I was really really REALLY strong (20 pull ups, 20 hanging leg raises...) if that would make doing skills like press handstands easier?

I want to do press handstands from p-bars, do all the cool handstand things contortionists do (I am very flexible) and urgently want to improve tumbling (BHS, front handsprings, flicks and twists)

I was wondering if you were pure muscle, if that would help learning these skills quicker and if so, what you think how long it will take? 1 year? 5 years? 10 years? - with about 10 hours training a week of course!

    You need a mixture of strength and technique, not all about muscle. with a lot of practise you will get there.

    Strength will only help you hold these positions and endure them for longer amounts of time. if your goal is to be learn them for the first time then i would say that you should just practice doing it repeatedly until you know how.
