It's difficult to answer this properly without some context... In addition to the other answers posted, it means having self-acceptance of yourself as a person. When you accept and are happy with yourself, you care less about what others think of you and you become less attention / approval seeking; thus you don't go about life trying to get others to like you; you become more independent and focused on your own goals in life.

When you become like this (what I like to call 'complete'), instead of going out to win the attention approval of others, they become automatically attracted to you - like a moth is drawn to a flame - whether romantically, energetically or psychologically. When you speak, others consider you charismatic and just want to be near you...

If you ignore the first part he told you to have patience. Which to me means he's telling you to wait. I would question why you would bother though. This guy doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. It was an extremely confusing comment but it's also being taken out of context.

It was pretty dumb to ask what you asked him. This type of queries hurts a person. Love is all about having patience and also about being faithful.

But if I were you I would be talking to him all the time with out nagging about the messy part. Be haapy

He means not to go after everyone you think is cute. This could be very unhealthy for future relationships. Also maybe there is something he knows that you don't, or he doesn't want you knowing. There could be a reason he doesn't want you to like him because there might be something going on that he doesn't want you to get involved in. He could be doing this for your best. Or maybe he thinks you've liked to many boys so your relationship wouldn't last long. I don't know you but it could be the reason.
