Is tennis hard to learn?

I'm a girl going into high school this year and I really want get involved with school activities becuase in the past I haven't really done that. I was thinking about doing a sport. I'm not exactly the athletic type, but I thought I might give sports a try this year. In the past I have only done tee ball and soccer when I was really young (around 5 or 6), track in 4th and 5th grade, and cross country in 6th grade and I actually ended up quitting cross country  at the end becuase it was too hard lol. So as you can see, like I said I am not the best at sports. I always thought tennis seemed somewhat interesting and somewhat easy so I thought I would try it out. I never really played it and I don't know much about it. Is it hard? Please tell me what you think of tennis or any other sports you think are good for beginners. Thanks! :)

Tennis isn't hard at all. Practice makes perfect. Just try it, if you don't like it try something else.

Try it out first.
Once you've learned the basic, tennis is really, really fun to play. And it is easy.

you have to have an interest in it first
you have to like the idea of running around, moving side to side,

an u have to have the right techniques an the right stragey for it
give it a chance... take some lessons
hit with different players
