What is the best cage for a parakeet?
This is my first time having a bird so obviously my first time having a parakeet. I thought that a parakeet would be a good bird to start out with. I would like to get my bird a Vision brand cage, because I heard they are good, but I don't know which model to get my bird. Should I get the small or medium cage? Btw, I am only getting one parakeet. And if I do get the medium should I get the M01 (wider shorter cage) or M02 (slimmer taller cage). I'm really confused so please help! Thanks! :)

The M01 and the M02 are the the same cage. The M02 is double high, I have the M02.
For one keet I would get the shorter and cheaper M01. Double high give my two keets
room for short flights. I recommend adding a cheap wood ladder at the bottom, so your
new friend can climb down to the food dish, a good six or seven inch drop. I also added
two cheap wood perches with sanded perch covers to chew on, a favorite pastime.
Walmart sells the cheapest keet food, several brands to choose from. Last week I found
a $36 Petco cage in our dumpster that was filthy, but loaded with perches and toys. I placed
the cage outside with the downspout inside the cage. One good rain and it was spotless cleaned.
I also saw a medium cage at Goodwill one day for only $5.
