Teens: What are some new things that you're learning?

I'm learning that I am stronger than I thought I could be. Mentally stronger. My boyfriend is in basic for the Navy right now and I haven't been able to talk to him for 3 weeks now. I just got a letter today though, so that helps a lot :) All we can do is send letters until the end of August when I go to his graduation. We'll have the weekend together and then he starts schooling. I won't be able to talk to him for I believe the first two weeks of that. He gets his phone after that though, so I'll be able to txt him or call him after two weeks and he might be able to come home some weekends after I think the first two weeks also. Its only about a 5 hour drive there to pick him up and then 5 hours back, but it would be worth it for at least a bit of time.

I'm also learning how to play the saxophone over the summer. I'm joining jazz band next year and I need to learn a jazz instrument for it. I play flute, piano, and drums right now but I never got official lessons for piano or drums. I got some lessons for flute in school and I got a couple before the school year was out for saxophone. I'm getting better at it, just gotta learn how to properly do my embouchure.

I'm also learning about different colleges so I can figure out where I'm going to school after this year. I'm a senior this year.

I haven't really started learning this stuff yet, but I'm going to learn how to use photoshop better and I'm also going to learn Swedish.

BQ: I saw The Heat today with my mom, and it was pretty funny

BQ2: I like all of the colors because they all serve their own purpose.

BQ3: I don't miss much except for maybe playing pep band for sporting events. I'm not a fan of the cold XP I live in Wisconsin, so it gets pretty snowy and cold up here. I like the snow but not the cold that comes along with it.

ALMOST the same as you: I'm about to learn how to drive a stick, when school starts at least, says my dad; I'm going to fencing practice every Wednesday, which is new to me since it's the first sport I've done in years and I need all the practice I can get; and I just started gaming like 2 days ago, with my fencing captain's help - playing AC2 all night tonight and for the rest of the week, woo ♥

BQ3: SNUGGLING UNDER BLANKETS. Because it's cooooold. I miss it ; m ; especially in this heat!

Eh most of the things I'm learning are boring, like just how to take care of myself and I've started having to make my own psychiatrist appointments and trying to figure out how to get on disability benefits since I can't work and reeeeaaally need money for clothes and food and stuff, since my mom like just won't buy me anything at all. And I'm trying to learn coping mechanisms for things, but my counselor helps me with that, mainly I'm trying to teach myself how to just release stress and be at peace sometimes,I'm going to start going to this church / study thing and hope that'll help me a lot.

BQ: Jeez the last time I was in a theater was quite a while ago. I think like last summer... maybe it was Avengers? I don't even remember haha, but I did really want to see Warm Bodies a few months ago, never got to.

I'm trying to learn more English words that I don't already know and I'm trying to improve my maths. It's only been two days and I'm seeing improvements so it may be boring but it's helping!

I'm learning about outer space. I went to a museum a few weeks ago and got a book about it.

BQ: Despicable Me 2. It was really funny. I kind of want to see The Conjuring, but it looks terrifying as hell.

BQ3: Ah, snow. Snow is one of my favorite things.

Unlearning how to draw anime and manga right now! I want to have a job in the animation or art industry:)

I'm learning how to read sheet music for my Ocarina. It's in a different key, so I basically have to re-learn how to read music. It's easier the second time around, though, and I hope that soon I'll be able to write music for it.

I haven't really learned anything new or are in the process of it either.
