So school starts in a few days and that means I have to meet new people in my classes. To be honest I don’t know why this makes me nervous at all. Yes I’m shy but over the years since I started university, I’ve been slowly coming out of my comfort zone. Also I’ve been through situations (jobs and stuff) where I meet and talk to new people. But right now I’m in a situation where I picture myself in class, trying to find the courage to talk to someone next to me and figuring how to start the conversation. So what should I do and say when I try to meet new people? I have a friend who's kind of like me (shy and all) and yet she makes it so easy to talk to people in her classes.

Sometimes before i get my period I suddenly feel really depressed. Most of the time I would be depressed over something I usually don't get upset about. Is this a normal before i get my period?

i'm just having some difficulty looking for what i need right now. so basically I was wondering what happened after the battle of hastings? how did the war change society, especially the rich noble families in terms of marriage, social status, marriage, religion

On Tuesday my university is holding a week long orientation called frosh. Since I'm a commuter student I chose to stay overnight and I think this is a great idea for me to meet people. The only thing I'm worried about the orientation is that I'm shy and I don't have any friends that are going to the same university as me so i'll be alone. I really want to get out of my comfort zone and actually go to people and say hi but whenever I do that, my legs are stuck to the ground and my words can't come out of my mouth. I tried so many times to approach people and say hi to them and I can't. I'm worried that I won't be able to meet anyone there. What should I do to get out if my comfort zone?

I'm starting my first year of university in two weeks and I plan to go to back to school shopping today. Besides the electronics, I'm not sure what else to get in terms of stationary. This may sound silly for me to ask but I'm actually pretty lost

Ok so basically me and my two friends went to an amusement park today and at one point we decided to go on those boat rides that rock back and forth for the second time. During the ride, we all got pretty scared because the boat was rocking back and forth pretty high up so we screamed. There was a guy in front of us got annoyed by our screaming so he told us to stop screaming because to him the ride is nothing. Ok just saying, me and my friends were not the only ones screaming. My friend basically told the guy that if she was scared and wanted to scream, she could scream. If you were in this situation, what would you do?

this may sound like a stupid question but i'm just asking this because of the conversation i have with someone over twitter. i said that it's summer time in turkey right now and the person i'm talking to said that it's winter time. i'm not sure who is right right now

i know this is early but i'm already nervous for university. (i'm starting my first year in september) there is this facebook group for those who are entering the same university as me and it seems like everyone has at least a friend going with them while i don't. i know there may be people like me, not knowing anyone but i'm still nervous that i wouldn't be able to make friends or anything. what should i do? should i just stop worrying about this?

Mines literally happened just then. I was sitting on my friend's bed, watching a fighting scene from avengers when her mom called us downstairs for food. We got up and as I took my first step I somehow slipped and crashed into my friend's table and fell on the ground. My friend saw the whole thing and I tried to laugh it off but to me that was real embarrassing. I didn't just slip but I slipped, crashed and fell. It's honestly so funny but embarrassing. What is your embarrassing moment?

prom is 3 weeks away (yeah my school's prom is really late) and i'm still figuring out which hairstyle i should choose. my prom dress is a strapless sparkly rose pink coloured high low dress. the bottom of the dress is all ruffly with a lighter rose coloured ribbon that goes as a nice belt. i haven't bought my shoes yet but i chose to get a gold sparkly pair of heels. basically i'm going for a romantic princessy look for my prom and my accessories are going to revolve around it. now i'm not sure what to do with my hair. i don't know if i should leave my hair down or put it up. which hairstyle should i do? i have long hair by the way

for me i have to cheat so i have to say japanese green tea and ice tea.

just then on facebook i found a social group for those who are accepted to the university i'm going to and people are posting introductions about themselves. right now i'm planning to write one so i can meet new people and be more out there for university. the issue i have right now is that i don't know what to write. what do you think i should write besides my name, where i live, school and birthday?

In a few months I'm going to turn 18 but my dad still treats me like a little girl. It's good that my dad is protective over me but its to the fact where I feel like I'm a 5 year old. He tells me to do things on my own and act like an adult cuz I'm 18 soon but when I do try to do things in my own and show my dad I am ready, he starts to baby me. I constantly tell my dad that I'm trying to do things on my own but when I do he's like babying me. I feel like I don't even have much freedom without the billions of questions. Like if I want to bus home after school or chill at the library after school he would be like...are you going alone? Do you want me to drive you there? Do you want me to wait for you there? And the questions just keep repeating itself. Like I said, it's good my dad is protective of me but I feel like I can't do things on my own. My school is a 10 minute bus ride away from the library and the library is a 10 minute walk away from my house and there are other things that he baby's me too. If this were you, would you be annoyed?

my face has been irritated for nearly two weeks already and i'm not sure why. i have an acne problem so i'm currently seeing a dermatologist. he recommended me to purchase this spectro gel for my face with this prescribed gel. i used the prescribed gel for a month before adding the spectro gel. The prescribed gel gave me no irritation until i used the spectro gel. I used the new gel for a week or two and one day my face has these little itchy bumps (yeah it sounds nasty too) and i'm not sure if i have an allergic reaction. also at night, i tend to like hugging my pillows close to my face so probably something bit me. do you think it's possible for me to figure it out what is causing my face to be irritated or should i wait till i ask my dermatologist?

btw i stopped hugging my pillows close to me now (LOL) and i didn't want to stop using the gel right now because it actually works and i don't know if i should stop or not

Ok my semi formal is tonight and this isn't exactly a dress issue but close enough. It's cold outside so I got a black blazer. Once I wore the blazer, I realized things didn't look the way I planned it to work. The theme for the semi formal is red carpet. Should I stick to my black blazer or a cardigan? And if a cardigan..what color?

my daily makeup routine consists of using mascara and eyeliner and usually after a few hours, my eyeliner would smudge. i'm not a huge fan of waterproof makeup because i used them before and it didn't go well. how can i keep my makeup from smudging?

i have this psychology assignment to do for school and the assignment is for us to create a collage of things we're good at and i realize i'm not good at anything, i'm only average in things. The only thing i'm good at is dealing with kids, in cadets, being a friend but that's about it and that's not even a skill. is it bad that i'm not good at anything?..just average?

Tomorrow is my school's semi formal and I was thinking whether or not I should use perfume. The reason being is because I'm worried the scent will fade (heard somewhere that the scent will fade in cooler climates and its like freezing where I'm from) and I'm not planning to bring the perfume just in case cuz I'm only bringing a clutch. What do you think? Should I use the perfume or not?

My school's semi formal is on Friday and this years theme is red carpet. I'm already planning to wear my pink sequined dress with silver heels. Besides that i don't know how I should do my hair (by the way I have long hair). For my make up, should do something that makes me stand out or should it be nice and neutral with bright lip stick? And what color cardigan should I wear I case it gets chilly?

I got this nice owl mug from my mom last year for Christmas and I immediately fell in love with it. A month later I notice there was a small chip on my mug and a few weeks later its a bigger chip. My dad washes the dishes and my mom told me it was my dad who did chipped my mug. He didn't even say sorry or anything when I noticed this big chip. By the way it was a really nice christmas present and my dad already broke one of my mugs already a few years ago ( it was again a present from a friend and I also really liked that mug) and he told me he broke the mug on "purpose". Would you be upset over that.
