Looking for some good horror films to add to my collection?

I collect Horror Films and I am currently looking for good ones I may have missed. Please if you are going to leave answers like Insidious, Mama, Paranomal Activity don't bother leaving an answer. I am looking for answers from true vans of the genre.

Slashers: Psycho (1960), Halloween (1978), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), Peeping Tom (1960), Black Christmas (1974), A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), Scream (1996), Friday the 13th (1980), Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986), Opera (1987), Halloween II (1981), Friday the 13th Part II (1981), Alice Sweet Alice (1976), The Burning (1981), The Prowler (1981)

Supernatural: The Shining (1980), The Exorcist (1974), Rosemary's Baby (1968), Carrie (1976) [not really supernatural but that's the sub-genre it fits into best], The Fog (1980), Suspiria (1977), Poltergeist (1982), The Omen (1976), The Innocents (1961), The Haunting (1963), The Changeling (1980), The Sixth Sense (1999), The Evil Dead (1981), The Ring (2002) and Ringu (1998) [not really supernatural, but it's the sub-genre that fits the best], Evil Dead II (1987), The Others (2001), The Uninvited (1944) [this one hasn't aged very well, but it was one of the first attempts at a serious ghost story in film, so it's definitely a must-see for horror fans]

Creature Films [I kind of put some films that aren't really creature films in this category just for the sake of organization]: Let the Right One In (2008), Alien (1979) [the sequel "Aliens" is good, but it's more of an action, whereas "Alien" is a very creepy suspenseful horror film], The Fly (1958 and 1986), The Thing (1982) and The Thing From Another World (1951), Dawn of the Dead (1978) [the 2004 remake is okay, the original is far superior though], Night of the Living Dead (1968), The Descent (2005), Dead Alive/Braindead (1992), Jaws (1975), Horror of Dracula (1958), Dracula (1931), 28 Days Later... (2002)

Any Other Films that Haven't Fit Into Other Sub-Genres (these are mostly psychological horror, but there are a few that don't even fit into that category): Audition (1999), Eraserhead (1977), Martyrs (2008) [Martyrs is a very intense, graphic, disturbing film, but it's absolutely amazing], What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962), The Wicker Man (1973), Eyes Without a Face (1960), The Birds (1963), Misery (1990), Suicide Club (2001), Funny Games (1997) [watch this, not the remake, even though they're shot-for-shot, I've always preferred this one], Battle Royale (2000) [this one isn't a horror film, but some may find it disturbing, it's a great film either way], Freaks (1932), In the Mouth of Madness (1994), Hellraiser (1987), The Phantom of the Opera (1925), Cabin in the Woods (2012) [this is more of a satirical look at the genre, not a horror, but it's still highly entertaining], Saw (2004) [I really do like the first one, but the rest are just awful], Inside (2007), The Strangers (2008)

You seem like you know a lot about the genre, so you've probably seen most of these, but I hope there's some that you haven't yet.

Actually I prefer the older films that scared the hell out of me when I was 11-years-old in 1963. There are collections of the Frankenstein films, the Wolfman films and the Dracula films that were made at Universal in the 1930s. The Wolfman collection includes two films that were not in the wolfman series. She Wolf of London and There Werewolf of London. The second is a really fine film. The first, not so much.

The Dracula collection includes a Spanish language version that was made on the same sets as the one with Bela Lugosi, using a different cast and crew. It also has Dracula's Daughter, which was not really a sequel.

I don't know if The Mummy pictures are collected or not. I would think they are. The same with The Invisible Man. If you are ever lucky enough to find the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde that stars Frederick March, buy it. It's the best J&H movie ever. Again, early 1830s.

In the early 1940s RKO hired a man named Val Lewton to produce a series of horror films. You can look him up in Wikipedia. These films are available on DVD in a collection.

I'm afraid I don't care much for newer horror films. The Saw and Hostel films are just porn.

When I saw the first Nightmare on Elm Street film when it was first released to theatres I sat thinking it was the best bad movie I had ever seen. And about halfway through it did something unforgivable. The main character is taken to a sleep clinic. She falls asleep amd dreams about Freddy. She grabs his hat and when she wakes up, she is clutching it.

And nobody, including her, says anything about it. There is no "Sweet Jesus! Where did that hat come from?" No consternation. Nothing.

    Nobody. Says. Anything.

And it ends the way almost every contemporary film ends. Evil triumphs.

I understand that Nightmare isn't exactly contemporary.
