power sound audio xv15 (two of these) http://www.powersoundaudio.com/products/xv15-base

the question is what would be the best crossover and phase settings at receiver level and on the subs. my listening is 70% movies 30% music. I am hoping for a best setting (if possible) to just set it and leave it, without changing back and forth. the room is 12 X 30, 9ft ceilings. cement floor with tile. thanks in advance for any input. I am still learning lol.

I'm sorry but it is impossible to know, as every system even the same system would need different settings due to room acoustics, dimensions, speaker placement etc.

Speaker placement is the single most important aspect of any good system this allows you to get the best overall frequency responce due to speakers interactions to rooms size and acoustics. I would recommend playing with your main left and right speaker placement first to get the best overall sound, tuning the subwoofer to them, and then placing and setting levels for surround speakers.

Its most complicated than what anyone can really answer in these forums to do it right.

Feel free to send me emails and will step you through the process.

THX recommendation is at 80 HZ and below going to the subwoofer. With the front speaker set to small on the receiver. Rear channels are not critical, the only get sound effects. Hope this will help you out.

i assume the woofer is fixed in an enclosure and has a fixed crossover .The woofer could be connected to your 2nd set of speaker terminals.you have got a difficulty balancing the output of your popular audio gadget and the sub woofer. you besides mght want to take into consideration the final output skill of your receiver.
