Identify this dialect please?

I am no native speaker and in the past month I tried to get an ear for dialects. Mostly through distinctive markers, like Scots roll the "r", Irish pronounce "i" like "oi" and don't bother with "th", cockney overpronouces many vowels, like "plane" becomes "pline".

Recently, while playing an ARMA 2 mission, I heard something very special. A message saying "no be afraid lads, cany see 'em, cany see us" The "u" of us was underpronounced. I was able to understand the meaning it: "Don't be afraid, boys. If we can't see them, they can't see us."

But still, it didn't hit any markers I learned so far. So instead of markers, I have to go with feelings. And I thought it sounded Irish. Could you imagine anyone Irish abbreviating this sentence like that?

Someone from the North, perhaps. Antrim or Derry.

The Scots and Geordies (from Northern England) say cany instead of cannot.
