How to pronounce Liam in Ireland ?

I know there are other people who asked it before, but I still want to know how Irish people pronounce it. Because there are always other opinions. Some said its kind of "Lijam", another person its "Leem" and others pronounce it like they pronounce it in the US. So I´m really confused.

I always thought there is only one way...

Update:

So, if there are different versions how u can pronounce it, it doesnt really matter, no? As long as its one version of it. Or will Irish people mind?

In my area of Ireland, people typically pronounce Liam as "Lee-imm". But I've also heard "Leem", "Lee-am" and "Lee-um". There's no real fixed standard so it doesn't really matter what way you pronounce it...

I pronounce it like 'lame' but I'm from Northern Ireland.. Southern Irish people would pronounce it like 'Lijam' ..depends which part of Ireland you're from!

I have an Irish second cousin called Liam. They say it "Lee-um" but fast

It depends which part of Ireland they come from. In Donegal it would sound like "lyum", in Limerick it would sound like "leem" for example.
