I want to sell life insurance for Northwestern Mutual. Is this a good field to get into?

Probably not. Overall, 95% of attempts to become an insurance end with the person having to quit within the first year, because the person is not making enough money to continue working. The remaining 5% include (1) those who are not making any money, but can continue working, without being paid, because they have substantial savings from a previous job, and (2) those who are successful only because they have a lot of contacts, and would have failed otherwise. I suppose it is possible that someone might have done well without contacts, but I have never heard of it happening.

I doubt the 100% commission, but it is a good field and you mentioned a good company.
