Dual major, double major, or minor?

So I'm currently majoring in Chemistry, but I have a really strong interest in the Sociology field. Psychology a little bit, but I really can't get Soc off my mind. I don't know if I should do Soc as a minor, a double major, or a dual major where I would get a dual degree. For one, I looked up the difference between double and dual and my understanding is that dual you actually get two different degrees but it takes more time? I'm not sure if I'm right about that. What I want is to have my options open for graduate school. I really enjoy Chem but I'm afraid of getting done and not wanting to pursue it because Soc is another interest that's just as strong. I want to pick the one where after I'm done with undergrad I can decide which one I want to continue pursuing and I'm not sure if I can do that with just a minor in Soc. If it matters at all, I go to the University of Toledo. I'm going to try to see my adviser tomorrow but if he's busy I'm going to have to wait a week because of spring break and I'm too impatient! Lol.

I think the minor in sociology will suffice. Take for instance St. John's University. The admission requirements for their M.A. program in sociology include 18 hours in sociology. This means that you don't have to necessarily get your degree in sociology, but you do need to have some prior knowledge of the field. I know of different programs that have similar requirements. They may not require a major, but they want to know that you have some knowledge of the field before entering their program. I think the criteria that committees look for are a GPA above 3.0, acceptable GRE scores, strong letters of recommendation, and your personal intent.
