He sounded like the only person who has a grasp of the situation.

The problem is about labelling. It is about the food stores not putting the right labels on their food. Iceland have been at the forefront of removing hydrogenated fats, artificial additives etc, and have been the only ones to be completely honest about horse meat in their products.

The rest, and the govt, have been running round like headless chickens blaming everybody but themselves, Morrison's excepted.

Now we learn that they, the govt and the food retailers, are not testing salami, choritzos etc for donkey meat, no, they are only testing for horse meat. So you are quite right to be worried about what else is in the food chain, but 'horrors'? That is gilding the lily a bit, isn't it?

Of the tests carried out so far, over 2,500, only 129 have found 1% horse meat, hardly a sign of it being endemic. Where are the criminal prosecutions? Oops, a lot of this contamination is from the EU, and you can't be nasty to EU member states or their nationals.

Walker talked sense, it is a pity so many others are gilding the lily for political points and payment from the BBC and Sky for their on air opinions.

He is so right when he says in six months it will have blown over and the media will be hyping up something else to put fear into the gullible British consumer who will be back to buying garbage to feed their kids.

He stated that supermarkets couldnt possibly check every product for horse or even........hedgehog!!

I don't wan't supermarkets to check beef products for any of these I want them to be checked for BEEF!

senior managers in retail are either the posh privately educated who weren't bright enough for banking/LLoyds insurance/Law etc, or otherwise they are the sharp elbowed working class workers who worked their way to the top with their own guile, efforts and ruthlessness.
