do christian and Muslims worshipped the same God?
Allah Does it Mean God?
The word "Allah" is the perfect description of the "One God" of monotheism for Jews, Christians and Muslims!
Is "Allah" only for Islam and Muslims?
[No! It is for All Three Abrahamic Faiths.]
"Allah" is the same word used by Christian Arabs and Jewish Arabs in their Bible, centuries before Islam came.
On page one [1] of Genesis in the Old Testament, we find the word "Allah" seventeen [17] times.
Every hotel and motel has a Bible. Next time you see one look in the introduction, you will find samples of the different languages they have translated. For Arabic they have translated the verse in the New Testament in Arabic from the famous verse in the Gospel John 3:16 -
"For God so loved the world..."
- and the word the translators used in Arabic for "God" is the very same word used by Muslims around the planet, "Allah."
Where Does the word "Allah" Come From?
"Allah" comes from the Arabic word "elah"a god' or something worshiped. - (Arabic) means '
This word (elah) can be made plural (gods), as in "aleha" and it can be male or female just as the word in English can be "goddess."
"Allah" comes from "elaha" but it brings more clarification and understanding.
Allah = Has no gender (not male and not female)
"He" is used only out of respect and dignity - not for gender
Allah = Always singular - Never plural
"We" is used only as the "Royal WE" just as in English for royalty
Allah = Means "The Only One to be Worshipped"

Actually, cupcake, you guys can SAY it's the same god all you want, but since the characteristics and behavior of the character called god vary so drastically from storybook to storybook, it's clear that it's not the same character.
The god-character in your Quran storybook behaves in a certain way, has certain priorities, and values certain characteristics in his fan club...all of which are different from the behavior, priorities, and values expressed by the god in the Christian's Bible storybook...and those differ dramatically from the god-character in the Jewish Bible storybook.
If you and I both write fan-fiction based on Harry Potter, and I include a character called Ron Weasley who is quite short and has black hair and plays the piano, and you include a character called Ron Weasley who is of medium height, is plump, and collects stamps, neither of us can say that we're writing about the "same" Ron Weasley other than the name...and the fact that there are three characters called Ron Weasley doesn't mean that any of them are "real."

No. The God of the Bible is Yahwey, which is one of the Hebrew names for God. Allah is the God of this world, which is Satan for the time being. That will change when Yahweh brings his judgements on this Earth. Then Yahweh will once again be the God of this world with Christ on his right hand side. Zechariah Chapter 5 was the prophecy concerning the formation of Islam. Islam is the woman in the basket that was wickedness.

No!
The difference is muslims turned the God Christians believe in into a monster, they created a complete different deity, therefore it isn't the same god, however, the muslims 'God' doesn't exist.
Please don't be fooled by those who say Christians worship Allah.

There can be no doubt whatever that the peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God. The difference between the ordinances under which they abide should be attributed to the varying requirements and exigencies of the age in which they were revealed.

The definition of it is the same... it is a violent, sadistic and hateful being, who commits terrible crimes, and it has caused the followers to behave the same.
No matter what name is used, if it has the same definition, it is functionally equivalent.

Yes they do. the sad thing is that so many think the Jewish, Christian and Islamic God are different. The only difference is the way they choose to worship him.
