What are some similarities between China's history and Australia's history?

Same laws? Same teen pregancy rate... same high school system... Kids stay in school for the same time.... talk about their import and exports... same weather patterns?... same laws on immagration? Same holidays... thanksgiving....

Both areas have been subject to 'invasion' by outside peoples. But generally I agree with 'nothing'. China has had a long history of fairly advanced civilisation under various rulers and types of government for well over 2,000 years. Until Europeans found Australia in the early 1600s and seriously started to colonise in the late 1700s Australia was inhabited by people who had developed a wonderful culture in their way of explaining the origins of the world and how Nature works, but who had not at all developed advanced civilisation as it would be regarded by Europeans or Chinese people.

So you have been set a real challenge in your homework. Good luck in trying to find any other similarities. Both areas have large areas of fairly flat lands, but also notable mountain ranges. They also both have long rivers. You could just about claim that both have 'man-made' capital cities, not cities that have arisen from smaller settlements - though you would need to check that for Beijing (older name Peking).
