Perfect Thanksgiving dinner... What does it need?

Mashed potatoes and gravy!

Pies and Turkey, Mashed potato's, Sweet potato's, stuffing, gravy, green bean, etc

You do not have to have turkey

I have a friend at work that have roast beef and lobster for Thanksgiving

Her children think that is normal

I have Italian American friends that always have at least two italian dishes for thanksgiving

You should have food you love

Add family foods are fine, it's your thanksgiving

In my house, depends on who you ask.

For me it's cranberry sauce; for my husband & oldest son it's stuffing. My daughter & mother love the sweet potatoes.

And it wouldn't feel like T-day without pie.

I make turkey throughout the year (about 3 or 4 whole ones, plus I make a lot of ground turkey dishes). And I'll make stuffing occasionally, or sweet potatoes occasuionally, or stuffing occasionally and of course pie... but I only put them together on T-day so they've become a kind of staple.

My family has said if I ever think about not making a turkey they'd stand outside my kitchen with signs and picket.

Turkey.

Stuffing.

Mashed potatoes.

Gravy.

That's all I need, although we usually have a few more things like cranberry relish, corn, and dinner rolls.

Turkey.

Dressing/stuffing.

Mashed potatoes.

Gravy.

Cranberry sauce.

Vegetable or two.

Dessert.

Side dishes for us are deviled eggs; black and green olives.

My thanksgiving dinner is not complete without turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole and cranberry sauce.

In my opion, the perfect Thanks Giving dinner has to have; the turkey (of course), roast, homeaid mash potatoes, turkey gravy or brown gravy cooked from scratch, stuffing, baked sweet potatoes with marsh mellows on top, green beans cooked with maple baccon, rolls, pumkin pie, pecan pie, and whatever drink you prefer. Well atleast this is how my family's Thanks Giving dinner usually is...... Hope that helped! :)
