a very serious question for christians.....?
which is more likely to be true:
Jesus Christ was the son of god and our lord and savior. He was born of a virgin birth, grew up, performed miracles, preached the word of God and died on the cross for the sins of all humanity. He was resurrected back to life and ascended up to heaven where he currently resides and will return to this world some day to judge and to rule.
Or Jesus Christ was just an ordinary human being like the rest of us who had a human mother and father like the rest of us. He grew up, taught some very moral and ethical stuff and was executed for being too anti roman and for creating his own religious cut. He died and has been dead for the past 2,000 years and will stay dead like the rest of will when we die
Which is more likely to be true?
Be honest with yourself

The First is Very True, a Very serious question For you.
Why do you deny The First? Be Honest, is is because of the fact that you do not wish to be held accountable? Or are you going to play the Secular Evidence card to cloud the issue out of denial and refusal to accept it without Bias ?

The tired old "Good Guy Jesus" argument, I thought this one was laid to rest a long time ago.
Jesus claimed without doubt that He was the Son of God and that He would do the things that you mention in your first paragraph. This can only lead us to three possible conclusions about Him:
1. He was a compulsive liar, either for scam or just out of pride.
2. He was a delusional nutjob that actually believed all this stuff.
3. He was exactly what He claimed to be.
Only the third option allows Him to be good in any way at all. The first two would not have resulted in masses following and dying for Him. They would never have resulted in 2000 years of devotion and sacrifice on the part of billions of people, and they certainly would never have resulted in the real miracles and charitable acts that the world wide Church has done. Lunatics and con artists just don't get that kind of response.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God was born of the virgin Mary, performed miracles, lived a sinless life, was crucified, rose from the dead and lives in heaven with God the Father. This is true and correct. Anyone that says other wise do not believe, you must answer to God for yourself as I do.People that deny this will answer to God the Father, would not want to be that person. God is always true and his beloved Son Jesus Christ! I will stake my life on Gods word to be true if I have to. Jesus is alive He has no grave!

Jesus Christ was certainly not an ordinary human being like the rest of us, ordinary humans don't 'create' religions.
He wasn't executed for being too anti Roman....he was executed for upsetting the religious order of the day, which had nothing to do with the Romans.
His influence on those of the day and millions of others throughout history is enormous, and even our years are calculated around the time of his birth. (AD and BC)
As far as option 'b' goes, it loses with the word 'ordinary'.
Option 'a' then: Prior to his birth his 'religion' was being 'created' (to use your terms). Say for example that he turned out to be some ordinary gentlemen who decided to preach some really moral stuff, this was already expected prior to his birth.
As he grew, he continually drew enormous attention and his preaching affected a lot of people.
Prior to his death, he already predicted it would happen and when, he had the chance to flee but went to his execution knowingly. Quite extraordinary for an ordinary man.

The failure in what you write is that He did not teach some very moral and ethical stuff. He taught the utter depravity and helplessness of mankind and their only salvation in the new life that He gives.
Therefore of the two options you give the second is not at all believable and obviously just something you have made up or are blindly and ignorantly repeating what others have said.
You need to examine for yourself what He taught. Were you to, you would not be able to dismiss Him as merely human only.
The seriousness obviously lies in your arguing from ignorance.

As it is, the testimony of history indicates that what was written in the Bible is true.
People who don't believe that Jesus is the Son of God and our Lord and Savior have to believe another teaching or believe nothing.
But we need help to handle our sinful nature, all of the wars and crime and hatred in the world is not all going to be solved by humans, in fact, things are even worse, and people with their eyes open don't have much confidence in things getting better because of the efforts of men.
Of all of the religious tenets and persuasions in the world, only Christianity has a logical and legal method for handling our sinful nature which will give us deliverance from it.
So, honestly, I believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, who was sent to the earth by Almighty God his Father to teach us the way to salvation and to die for our sins, and he was resurrected, and went to heaven, and will one day judge humanity and rule over a paradise earth filled with meek and righteous humans.

The second example is more likely to be true, but that does not minimize the effect that Jesus can have on your life. That truth can help you to see the beauty and truth of his words and his teachings, but only if you are willing to go beyond what HUMANS chose to put in the bible.
Look at the hidden teachings that have been found over the years for the truth.
People in power are apt to be corrupt.

The first.
There is more evidence for the authenticity of the Gospels than any other work of antiquity. For instance, the manuscripts we have for Plato's works on Socrates were written over 1000 years after the original. For Homer's works, 2500 years after the original.
Mark, the earliest of the four Gospels, was written within the first century after Christ's death and the earliest manuscript we have for it was written a mere TWENTY-FIVE years after the original.
If the Gospels were a secular document, doubting their authenticity would be like doubting gravity.

Well, seeing as how he is alive and has made himself known to me more than once since I was born-again, I'm going with option 1 (the first).
Because, most of all, he's not dead.
