Has anyone ever heard of DH Hospitality Group.. I think there scamming me?
As foolish as I feel I will explain. I run a small hauling business, I received a call from this company offering me a job the. It was a pickup at a hotel I figured great. The said the would mail a check I agreed. Anyways when I got there I discovered it wasent the hotel employing me it was this company now a third party. I walked away from the job. I got countless calls that they needed me. So I told them to upfront me half and the rest when I was done. They sent half. I have been waiting for this check 2 weeks. They always have an excuse. And the person who hired me over the phone don't even live in the same state the company is registered under she said it was an alternate location or different office. Well stupid ms I got excited about a good paying job. I'm not site if there is anything I can do other than to just learn from it and never do business like that again. I just want go know if this has happened to anyone else I can't find anything on these people except an number and address. Please no sarcasm I feel foolish as it is.

Take them to small claims court, file a claim against them. Businesses can use subcontractors and outside businesses for some of their services, and many companies have headquarters in other states, so that's not too surprising. If you don't want to go to court yet, start sending them invoices, and send one every day for the next two weeks. Stop calling, they are giving you the runaround which they can do on a phone. If you don't receive payment after two weeks, then file your claim. Make sure you have names and contact information when you file your claim and today, write down everything that happened, dates, names, times, so your memory doesn't fail you..
