Why are most guys interested in war and violence?

I'm a 16 year old guy (nearly 17) and ever since I could remember, I have been very interested in war and just stuff that blows up (I know it sounds stupid).

I mean, I just love setting off fireworks and going to battle fields and playing war games. Even when I went to Berlin, the only thing that I loved the most was the fact that there was a huge battle there and all seeing all the bullet holes in the buildings.

It's like an interest that I was born with just like girls. however, I never intend to harm anyone, so don't assume that.

Not all men are like this but pretty much most are.

why is this? Is it because men used to be very violent and it just evolved?

Thanks

halfway down the page is a chart. across the top are headings. each soul enters this reality with a "package" of skills and attitudes that would place us in one of those columns with a different column as a supporting back up.

"warriors" imagine warlike activities from a very young age. war is the reason they are here and in ordrer for them to maximize their happiness, they must be preparing for war or practicing war. as long as competing against other warriors, there should be nothing wrong with glorying in war, it is the reason a warrior exist. when turned lose without controls or limits, it can become an evil thing.

not all of us are like that. only those born with a warrior package as primary or secondary are like that. many men never understand and hold "violence" against us... when it should be ok until we use it against innocents. other warriors do not mind you using violence against them as long as you accept they will reply in kind.

Nah. It's just that men like to have fun. You know, there's even LOTS of jobs where you have to blow up things. Mine sites are a good one. Even building roads these days. If someone wants to bring down a tall building how is it done? It's done by blasting the sheit out of it. So who ya gonna call - not a female.

I think it's the excitement and the adrenalin. War sounds so brave and patriotic and exciting.

My son certainly thought so, which is why he joined the army. Against my better wishes. He came home with post traumatic stress after seeing horrible things.

I do think the Army targets young men as yourself - and who wouldn't want a job that takes them to exotic countries, doing brave things?

I think it has more to do with the fact that we're programmed differently then girls. Our Testosterone makes us more rugged and mean so, things like explosions and firefights can seem awesome to us. In reality though, not all guys are like this but its just the way evolution made us.

My advice if you're into that kind've stuff is to look into the military.

When you grow up you'll learn that war is all about death. There is nothing Glamourous about war in anyway. There is no glory just killing for no reason except two leaders couldn't act like adults. War is something to be avoided at all costs. Some times you have to defend yourself but War should always be a last resort.
