RAM first. With Vista you should have a minimum of 2GB Random Access Memory. Notice I say minimum. If you want a reasonably satisfying computing experience, move up to 2 or 4 GB RAM and make sure windows is set to automatically defragment your hard drives.

Second, cooling. Clean the inside of your PC. Use forced air (canned or whatever) to blow the dust out! (Do this outside!) Make sure your PC stays cold inside. This makes your computer perform more efficiently and increases the lifespan of your processor and hard drives. Individual hard drive coolers are a good idea as well as an added exhaust fan to improve air flow thorough your machine. From the specs you listed, this machine is quite capable of some real fine performance. If you watch DVDs or do a lot of gaming, I'd upgrade the Video card as well, but that's personal preference. If it looks good to you already (after a RAM upgrade, cleaning and Defrag) then you're set! I also suggest Advanced System Care Free from IOBIT. Free download, and run it once a month to fix windows issues. :-) Hope this helped.

Get more memory.You motherboard supports ddr2 type at 800 & 667 mhz frequency.You should go for at least 2 gb of memory(or,if possible 4).However,anything above 3.5 gb ram will require an operating system upgrade(to 64 bit operating system).Also,for high definition playback(like 1080p) I would recommend a dedicated video card(anything like radeon 5450 and above will do,or the nvidia gt220 and above).If you want serious gaming,then you will need a more serious investment (a quad core processor, and a high end video card which will be more than you can afford.

it would be worth upgrading your ram, it looks like your motherboard holds ddr2 ram. So atleast upgrade to 2gb. possibly upgrade your graphics card, you cvan get decent cheap ones on amazon. There is no need to upgrade your processor. Might be worth upgrading to windows 7.
