Do you think catholics, if truly believing, perform cannibalism in communion?
According to the official catholic teachings, the bread (wafer) and wine in the eucharist do actually turn into the flesh and blood of Jesus, before being devoured. So in the religious belief, the eucharist is about REAL cannibalism and blood drinking!

Jesus' body will be the once-and-for-all fufillment of the ceremonies surrounding the Passover lamb and other OT scrifices, as he will become the sacrificial atonement for the sins of the people.
The cup foreshadows the shedding of Jesus' blood and the absorbing of God's wrath, which opens the way for redemption of all peoples through the new covenant relationship with God that was promised to the people of Israel.
"Do this in remembrance of me."

Is Jesus preforming cannibalism when He took the bread and gave it to His Apostles and said this is my Body, and when He gave them the cup and told them this is my Blood? No. He was not being a cannibal, however the substance of the bread He made into His Body and the substance of the wine/water He made into His Blood.
The same thing happens when the Bishop or Priest the ambassadors of Christ through The Holy Spirit (transubstantiation) the bread & wine/water are made into the Body & Blood of Christ.
Catholics believe that the Holy Eucharist is the true presence of Christ.

<<Do you think <snip> cannibalism in communion?>>
Nope.
<<According to the <snip> and blood drinking!>>
You don't even know what cannibalism is! "REAL cannibalism" entails the killing of a human being with the express intent of consuming the flesh/blood. Since there's none of that going on at the Catholic Mass, the Holy Eucharist does not conform to your INCORRECT definition of cannibalism.

You misunderstand the concept of transubstantiation. The bread and wine become the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. Cannibalism is consuming human flesh not receiving the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of the risen, glorified God. We are not consuming part of Christ's physical body - we are receiving His entire Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. We chew and drink the "accidents" of bread and wine that remain after the consecration has taken place - not human flesh and blood. But miraculously, we still literally consume the "substance" of the Body and Blood of Christ.

If you truly want to know the answer, you have to look back to what a sacrifice is in the Old Testament. A sacrifice is offered to God, as a sign of repentance, gift, hope and new covenant, and usually it is followed by a meal (just like what we do after a business signing ceremony), as a sign of friendship.
The same thing happens in the sacrifice of our Lord, Jesus Christ. This time we do not offer an animal sacrifice but God Himself. Jesus has told us to do this to remember Him as our Savior and our friend. You may agree, in the last hours of His death, Jesus wouldn't say anything which is allegory to His disciples. If He says, this is my body, than it means it is His body. The Catholic hold this true and so follow His command..

Eucharistic Prayer no 3
Father, you are holy indeed, and all creation rightly gives you praise. All life, all holiness comes from you through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, by the working of the Holy Spirit. From age to age you gather a people to yourself, so that from east to west a perfect offering may be made to the glory of your name.
And so, Father, we bring you these gifts. We ask you to make them holy by the power of your Spirit, that they may become the body + and blood of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, at whose command we celebrate this eucharist.

On the night he was betrayed, he took bread and gave you thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said:
Take this, all of you, and eat it:
this is my body which will be given up for you.
When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said:
Take this, all of you, and drink from it:
this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.

The accusation of cannibalism is nothing new to Catholics. The early Christians, which is Catholic, have been accused of it also. It's one of the reasons why they were feared and persecuted to death.

Yeah... trying to make your own version of xianity somehow more 'civilised and believable' than the Catholic version... cool... but you all reckon bibel-god was full of love for all humanity in sacrificing his 'son' for something that bibel-god set up in the first place ;)
That sounds sicker compared to a bit of pretend cannibalism... to me ;)

If people want to believe that a wafer is actually the body of Christ. Let them eat it.. Jesus spoke in parables. And it is obvious they did not understand what Jesus means.
Romans 7:4 (KJV)
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Romans 12:5 (KJV)
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

It is spiritual cannibalism. It was based on Osiris many thousands of years ago.
