Why do liberals believe that it is impossible to dislike Obama for something other than race?

It may have something to do with all the racist comments made about him. Many can be found here at Yahoo Answers and other social media forums. Then there's Rush's song Barrack the Magic *****. The race card? Well two days ago Mitt played the race card. Or it could have something to do with the GOP stating their priority is to make him a one term President, their priority should be the people.

Obama has not been arrogant. An arrogant man would have used his Congressional majorities to ram his own health care plan through, but Obama wasted his first year trying to work with Republicans who were NEVER going to work with him.

Mitt Romney personifies arrogance. If this is your candidate you cannot complain about elitist attitudes in anybody else.

As someone who has worked thirty years as an MD in both the American and Canadian systems my opinion is that those of you opposing it are too stupid to learn from others. Some of you are racists as well, but all of you are just plain ignorant. You listen to people who have been bought and sold by business interests tell you that their profits are more important than public good.

Add to that your support of a party that has willingly embraced the racists simply for the value of their votes and you do come across as pretty contemptible. When you march with the Klan other people are entitled to draw their own conclusions.

The term Racist has many definitions

1) One who believes someone to be inferior based solely on their race creed or color

2) Anyone who disagrees with a liberal politically

3) Anyone who dislikes First Comrade Obama

So I am afraid that you fall under the last two definitions.

The ineptness at managing the economy for the benefit of the Middle Class rests squarely on the Republican Congress of 1995-2006 whose legislation gave us the Great Republican Recession of 2008. And you can't change the facts no matter how much you whine.

Like little brat lying kids they only have the race card to effectively work, it seems to work on the uneducated and uninformed whites and blacks equally. Even to even minded well grounded people, this is frustrating. That he is beholden to the pharmaceutics lobby, which wants to maintain the drug war, which like kills hundreds of people a day in drug turf battles and cartel battles.

That he suspended habeas corpus by signing that Americans can just be arbitrarily picked up and put in jail with no trial.

That he assassinated an american citizen without due process

EDIT: But Obama is LEAGUES better than Romney though. So given a choice I'll vote for Obama over Romney.

You re allowed to petition the government with alist of greivences. But you grievance shold be better than I think he's a jerk, and he in't very good. An political opinion is meaningless unless you have specific policies and stances you are for or against.
