Is reality objective or subjective?

All living beings, including humans, perceive reality differently from one another, according to the variations of the kind of senses they possess by nature. Should we conclude that different interpretations of how reality appears to different organisms, more specifically how reality appears to different people, implies that people create their own subjective reality?

Update:

@ Alan Turing, jbotts3d and the rest of the subjectivists

What do you mean by “self”? Each organism has a “self that perceives” differently. But does different perception equates to multiple realities, one for each perceiver? All bats perceive a flying insect in the dark and can catch it and eat it. In the dark, we cannot pursue anything and catch it. Does that mean that the insect that a bat eats is not real because we are not bats and because we can’t see it? The same reasoning applies for the tree that falls in the forest when no one is around. Who has to be around to declare that a tornado destroyed an empty house? How do you distinguish a fact from an opinion? Is everything that exists just an arbitrary opinion? If I say that an elephant does not fit in a shoe box, is that only an opinion? All men are mortal, is that an opinion? How do we distinguish the real from the unreal if all is just a subjective opinion?

Yeah for most people reality is subjective. For a few, they see clearly but that's rare.

You'd have to demonstrate that perception is an act of creation, for that to be true. This is why people it's a more forceful argument to presume that there's an objective world, which we each simply perceive differently, based on objective facts about our perceptual biology.

It's just an application of Occam's razor: don't propose a plurality when a single will do. In this case, subjective realities imply infinite worlds with (possibly) their own rules, whereas an objective world only presumes that multiple subjective views are a fact about one world, and how it works.

There should be something to keep high people out of the philosophy section. Any ways, reality is 100% subjective. Yet we go about our lives pretending that reality is objective. We expect people to see things our way, or agree with our ideals, because we believe we're right thanks to our own subjective perception on the matter.

What if, and bear with me here, reality itself did not exist and was a fabrication of our imagination. If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, did the tree even fall? Forget about it making a noise. Did it even fall in the first place?

Both. The less the self is involved in the preception or observation the more objective reality can be. The closer we get to the self the more subjective our perception becomes. Regardless there is always some subjectiveness to our perceptions. This was one of the conclusions that Imanuel Kant reached in his "Critique of Pure Reason". Our sense of space and time are very subjective and color our perceptions for even the most abstract level of physics.

Solipsism states that the only thing you can truly know is that you (or your mind) exists. If this is true, then yes everything in the world is subjective based on your perception. In a way the only real fact you can have is that you are a being that feels and thinks. Everything else requires a certain amount of faith.
