Newbie scrapper any advice?
I'm new to this I have got the basics down. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that might be useful. I'm looking for some more advanced ways of finding more precious metals and scraping . What are some things I can scrap that mow people normally over look the market is saturated so it can be difficult.

Maybe checking around local body shops to see if they have damaged car parts that are going to scrap... they may let you haul them off for free... or they may let you buy them at a reduced amount so they can avoid the hassle of toting to the scale themselves... you could make out either way. Same with mechanic shops with parts... worth a shot.

You better have a truck and trailer. There are houses and buildings being torn down all the time. This is where you can get tons of copper and aluminum.
Look online for any demolitions of any thing in your area. Contact them and you will get the tons of scrap they are going to throw away.

A friend of mine picks up wrecked autos he finds on craigslist,takes them home where he has 2 dumpsters. Takes out the radiators and heater cores for one dumpster,and aluminum wheels for the other. Some parts he keeps and sells on craigslist.
