There are dozens of puncture marks on my thumb. What is this!?
I am kind of freaked. My mom doesn't think it is anything, but I am not sure. So, a couple of weeks ago, it just started out with about maybe two pairs of what looked like spider marks. The skin around it was raised up slightly. It didn't and still doesn't hurt, unless I pressed on it, but it just felt kind of weird. Yesterday, I wake up, and there are dozens of small puncture marks on my thumb. What is this? It seems as if this is spreading. My mom said little warts, but they look like puncture marks. She's a nurse, so what do I know? But it's kind of concerning. I don't have any symptoms of staph or anything of that sort, but I would really like to know. I am going to the Dermatologist on the fifteenth, so if none of the answers on here help, I guess I can wait a little longer, haha. But I am really worried about this. I am just paranoid, I guess. Sorry, there is no way I have AIDS. In fact, I just did a bunch of tests and if there was something essentially there, my doctor would have told me. It's a scary thought, though, and I have checked the symptoms. I have none of it. It seem as if the raised bump has gone down. When I used Antibacterial cream on it, it scabbed over. So I really don't know what this is.
