Am I wrong? How should I see this?

Question

I gave my wife 30 dollars to get her nails painted and a Pedicure. I filled up her gas tank. I gave her an additional 90 dollars to get groceries for the house with no set list involved with the intention that she would get food for the house. She spends thirty dollars on milk and bread and frozen food for just herself. 

When she tells me what she bought, I didn't yell but I did say that 30 dollars worth of junk food filled with sodium could have went towards multiple meals for the family. She says that Women like to be pampered and she would like to spend money without having to tell me what she did with it.
History: over the past six months she has been unemployed and we have been living off of the grace of God and help from my parents along with my one check. We were struggling to put food on the table from pay check to pay check. Recently I got a overpayment from my financial aid which needs to go to to paying off bills and creditors.

She sounds depressed and a bit angry. I know where she is at and she may feel like she has no value since she isn't helping support the family. Im a strong minded women and I faced this issues myself. You should talk to her and value her worth and her Independence. Don't interrogate her but sit down and talk about the importance of what that money could have paid for , not that you were questioning her but your concerned about what she is going through. Try and think of how hard it would be if your dignity as a women and wife were gone and she feels "questioned " for being an adult.

Yes I think it was wrong of her to buy those things but there is more going on with her than just not wanting to be questioned over 30 bucks.
