What is the difference between Irish Traveller gypsies and Romany gypsies?

Question

I was under the impression that Romany gypsies were dark skinned, dark haired, and the women were relatively covered up.  I grew up next to gypsies like this (until they moved away after a few months).  But tonight on "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding" they showed a family that was supposedly Romany gypsies but to me they looked white and dressed and acted like the people on the British version of "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" who are Irish Travellers.

Most Romany actually do look white with blonde hair... although they're more mixed.. The reason was because of prostitution back in the day, so they were mixed in pretty well. Buttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt, there are still many groups that did not do prostitution and are brown.. however most are under the impression that they are European looking, they were never super dark and had light eye colours to begin with. IRISH travelers descend from a Nordic group, so they usually have blonde hair and lighter eyes.................. but said Nordic group may or may not have had their origins in central Asia/Balochistan like other gypsies.

There are many different Romany sub-groups.  The one's on My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding are English Gypsies, (Romanichals.). Their blood is said to be more diluted so they may look white.  But they are Romany, not all are dark.
