Buying an arcade game with Microsoft Points help?

I have a whole bunch of microsoft points for my xbox 360 and I want to buy an arcade game. I know I can buy it on my console and play it perfectly fine, BUT, if I recover my profile on my friends console and buy it for him, will he be able to play it with his own account so he can play with me over xbox live?

    You *can* download it to his console. But he can't play it unless you are signed in on his Xbox.
