Is it wrong to sell peoples unwanted items?

I am becoming quite the curb surfer. I drive around many miles looking for unwanted items place on the side of the road. I restore it to sell worthy condition and turn it for a profit. I am excited about this new way of making money I have discovered and am getting rather good at. However when i talke to some people seem a bit annoyed about what I do, like im being shady. They make me feel like what I am doing is wrong being its almost 100% profit. I have sold some items to my co-workers. Maybe this is whats annoying to I try to avoid being a sells man at work but then again Im trying to make some money and I sell this stuff 65% retail mrak down and more sometimes more, good deal. Honest opinions please.

I think its an honest trade, tho you're right, its sometimes looked down upon. you don't have to tell people where the stuff came from. I do it myself. People throw out allot of perfectly good, usable stuff. I do think that you should make sure it is inn decent and working condition, and consider offering refunds if the items don't work for the people who buy them, especially friends and Co workers. Another good way to sell that stuff is to rent a booth at flea markets at trade shows.

  • I don't see the problem. I mean, people leave their junk by the road for someone who wants it. You got it, it's your's now, so fixing it up and selling it is perfectly fine. You're not really being shady—it sounds fun to fix stuff up for profit. Maybe check out a pawn shop or antique store, maybe a yard sale for some cool old stuff to restore. If you do this every once in a while, people might not see you as shady anymore. But you'll still be making a profit! I actually took an old patio umbrella that was by someone's trash can not too long ago… me and my friend fixed it up a little and are looking around for someone else who wants it—see, there nothing wrong with that.

Jumble sales are regularly achieved as a charity experience (close to me besides). Bootsales are a stable thank you to make funds, yet you regularly ought to pay for the stall in the previous you earn any funds, which will nicely be slightly volatile. while something like ebay (merely desire economic company account and digicam) merely have a small outlay till you sell an merchandise. Cleared 3 wardrobes in my abode this way.

It's impossible to sell unwanted items. The fact that someone is willing to pay money indicates that it is a wanted item.
