Why are evolutionary atheists inconsistent?

You DO know that Hitler was a christian right? Also, SOCIAL DARWINISM is NOT evolution! It was an early anthropological thought described by Herbert Spencer. This thought is obviously outdated in anthropological theory and has NOTHING to do with biology! Kill the weak- what crap did you pull that out of? Do what is best for self? This would go against most evolutionary thought since communities survive longer than the individual.

Evolution does not claim we were "created" at all, by chance or otherwise.

Natural selection is based on the capacity of the organism to change in certain ways, combined with both the support and impetus to adapt provided by the environment. These are clearly constraints on how an organism will evolve, and thus evolution cannot be accurately described as mere "chance."

The rest of your question can easily be addressed with well supported aspects of evolution such as kin selection and cognitive complexity. The two together explain much of morality.

Humanism and empathy are not sole properties of Christianity. In fact, those things appear to be lacking in several forms of it. So no one has to borrow anything from Christianity, yet Christianity has borrowed much from others.

Hitler didn't believe that. Atheists don't believe that, and we shouldn't kill weak people or be selfless because that's wrong.
