moka express problem?
I've had my moka express for a few years with no problems until now. As soon as the water starts to boil it spluttersimmediatelyy rather than as the last of the water comes up the funnel and very little coffee is made and what is is burnt. I have tried with only water and it seems to come out in one big splurg. Do you all think this is the gasket?

Try to remove the gasket, if it's damaged I suggest you to replace it with a new one. If it's still in good conditions (no big cracks and the rubber is still quite soft) wash all the pieces of the moka carefully and deeply with dish soap and a hard sponge. Sometimes the problem is the limestone residues that stuck to the spout.
