Getting a new iPhone 4S, storage space - 16GB or 32GB?

Question

I am considering getting an iPhone 4S in the near future; the tariffs look good but as I've never used a device like this I'm not sure whether the 16GB will be adequate. As I'll go for a 24 month contract I want to make the right choice.

I'll not use it for movies or music, social internet sites or games. I'll mostly use it for phone and txt (obviously) but would also setup POP3 Email for two accounts (if possible) and perhaps work related internet use, but very little.

Would 16GB be suitable for a device with that kind of usage?

Hi there,

Based on what you've said you'll be using your new iPhone for, 16GB should be enough space for your needs.

As a rough guide, around 4GB of memory can store around 1,000 songs or 1,600 photos which is worth bearing in mind just in case you decide to use your phone for entertainment purposes in the future! 

Even if you do end up using more than 16GB of memory during your two year contract, the iPhone 4S comes with access to Apple's iCloud service which gives you extra virtual storage space so to speak!

16 gbs is more than enough for . I have both my email accounts stored, almost 700 songs, a whole ton of apps, about 800 pics and a a few vids, and I still haven't used up half my storage yet. I have the iPhone 4s 16GB in white.

thats what I have it does a good job and since you're not gonna use it for music or movies then you don't need a lot of storage

I think so because I don't image that you will be downloading a bunch of games or apps wasting a lot of memory on your phone. So yes16GB would a good pick

You should try installing dropbox. Best app for saving storage space. It plays mp3, video, opens pdf, docs too. I use it all the time https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTc5MjAwNzk5OQ

if you arnet going to use it for music or videos 16gb is more than enough. even with a considerable amount of music there is still plenty of room
